Solomon Seay Sr.

Macon County native Solomon Seay Sr. (1899-1988) was a notable figure in the early years of the civil rights movement in Alabama, working closely with Martin Luther King Jr. and other key people in the movement. He was a defendant in the New York Times v. Sullivan U.S. Supreme Court case.
