Senkaitschi, Yuchi Leader

Philip Georg Friedrich von Reck painted this Yuchi chief and his wife, whom he named The Indian King and Queen of the Yuchis, Senkaitschi, around 1730. The chief is draped in buffalo hide and his wife is wrapped in "a British blanket from Charles Town," (Charleston, South Carolina) according to von Reck, indicating trade with the British.
