Hale Infirmary

Hale Infirmary was the first Black hospital in Montgomery, Montgomery County. It was founded in 1890 by Cornelius Nathaniel Dorsette, who is often considered to be the first licensed Black physician in Alabama. It remained in operation until 1958.
