Andrew Jackson

Andrew Jackson, nicknamed "Old Hickory" for his toughness, was the seventh president of the United States. Before his presidency Jackson was a school teacher, judge, congressman, and military general who commanded U.S. forces against the Red Stick Creeks at the Battle of Horseshoe Bend in Tallapoosa County.
