Patrick J. Lyons, circa 1911. Elected mayor of Mobile in 1904, he was owner and operator of a brewery and a wholesale grocer at a time when Prohibition was being pushed on the city. He was a friend and ally of "Mobile's newspaperman" Erwin Craighead.
