Washington County Museum

The Washington County Museum offers visitors exhibits that interpret the history of Alabama's first established county. It is located in the Washington County courthouse in Chatom. Items on display include the millstone, military uniforms, and other items shown here, as well as a 750-year-old canoe found embedded in a bank of the Tombigbee River, equipment used in the timber and turpentine industries, and vintage household items and clothing.
