Hartselle, Morgan County, native Vickie Orr Wiley played on the Auburn University women’s basketball team from 1985-89, where she was named All-American (1988 and 1989), SEC Player of the Year (1988), and SEC Tournament MVP (1987). Afterward, she played on the United States national team, where she won two Olympic medals. She was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in May 2013.
