Erwin Dudley of Uniontown, Perry County, played for the University of Alabama Crimson Tide from 1999 to 2003 under Coach Mark Gottfried, himself a former Tide player. Dudley was named SEC Player of the Year for the 2001-2002 season. He has spent his entire professional career playing outside the United States, largely in the Turkish Basketball League.
