Static Firing in Test Stand at MSFC, 1960

The first static firing of an eight-engine (full engine assembly) Saturn booster is seen at Marshall Space Flight Center's static test tower in Huntsville, Madison County, in May 1960. Later generations of Saturn rockets launched the Apollo Moon landing and Skylab missions.
