Solomon Siler House

Shown here in a photo from the 1930s, the Solomon Siler House is a Neoclassical mansion built in 1845 by planter Solomon Siler in what is now the Orion Community of Pike County. Siler was a founder of the Orion Baptist Church, the Orion Institute (an early school), and the Cemetery for Slaves in the nearby Palmyra community.
