This fossil is from the top of the skull of mososaur Selmasaurus russelli. It is part of a collection of skull pieces housed at the Alabama Museum of Natural History in Tuscaloosa. Paleontologist and weird fiction author Caitlín R. Kiernan was among the researchers who helped place it in its proper taxonomic and biostratigraphic categories.
