Sammy Lowe

Birmingham’s Samuel “Sammy” Milton Lowe (1918-1993) was a jazz trumpeter, arranger, composer, and conductor best known for his long tenure in the Erskine Hawkins Orchestra, a nationally popular band consisting primarily of Birmingham players.
