Duane Everhart (left), Principal Chief of the Piqua Shawnee Tribe of Alabama, poses with Morgan Silvers, who is the tribe's representative on the Alabama Indian Affairs Commission, and Alabama Intertribal Council Representative Brooke Spivey at the commission's headquarters in Montgomery. Everhart has had a career in law enforcement and the U.S. Coast Guard and has been involved in the Piqua Shawnee tribal government since 2003. He was named Principal Chief in 2024.
