In 1985, Leah Atkins became the founding director of the Auburn University Center for Arts and Humanities, later renamed the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts and Humanities. She is pictured here in the historic home that serves as its headquarters, known colloquially as "Pebble Hill."
