Holy Cross Episcopal Church

Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Uniontown, Perry County, was built in 1900. The parish itself was established by the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama in 1845. New Orleans architect Edwin H. Oliver designed the Arts and Crafts-style church based upon a 10th-century chapel in Amiens, France, and the stained-glass window above the altar was designed by Selma craftswoman Clara Weaver Parrish. The church is a contributing property to the Uniontown Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.
