Henry Erwin with His Wife and Mother

Henry Erwin poses here in 1945 with his wife, Martha (standing), and mother, Pearl Landers Erwin, in a military hospital. Erwin's injuries were so severe that he was hospitalized for more than two years and suffered multiple surgeries and skin grafts to repair his burned skin.
