George W. Andrews Lock and Dam

The George W. Andrews Lake, Lock, and Dam on the Chattahoochee River near Columbia, Houston County, was named in honor of U.S. congressman George W. Andrews in 1972. Born in Clayton, Barbour County, Andrews represented Alabama in Congress for 14 terms.
