Council Bluff School

The Council Bluff School in Hammondville, DeKalb County, was constructed in 1903 and served the community until 1935. Thereafter, it was used for community events and is currently owned and overseen by Landmarks of DeKalb County. It is the oldest one-room school remaining in the county and was added to the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage in 1976.
