This series of sonar images tracks progress in the efforts to document and conserve the site of the Clotilda wreck. In the top image, the wreck is covered in debris and difficult to see. Archaeologists and preservationists worked to remove trees and other objects from the wreck and collect its scattered pieces and return them to the ship itself. The much more organized and managed site is shown at bottom.
