The Chattahoochee Poochie is the mascot of the Chattahoochee Trace. The Historic Chattahoochee Commission introduced the character as a "goodwill ambassador" in 1974. The organization was dissolved in 2018 and its records donated to the Troy University campus in Dothan, Houston County.
