As part of its three-year celebration of Alabama's bicentennial, the Alabama Tourism Department produced The Alabama Bicentennial PastPort, a book and mobile app that details significant sites in every county and allowed participants to "check in" when they visited. The volume continues to be used by those exploring the state.
