A New Deal mural painted by Stuart Purser entitled Farm Scene with Senator Bankhead adorns a wall of the U.S. Post Office in Carrollton, the seat of Pickens County. It depicts William B. Bankhead, of the noted Bankhead political dynasty, who sponsored legislation to aid farmers during the Great Depression.
