Andrew Ellicott

Andrew Ellicott (1754-1820) was an astronomer, mathematician, and surveyor most notable in Alabama history for surveying the boundary between the United States and Spanish West Florida in the years after the American Revolution. His journal, published in 1814, includes important information on Alabama's flora and fauna and its people.
