ALCO HH900 #82 Locomotive

The diesel-powered locomotive, the ALCO HH900 #82, was built in 1937 by the American Locomotive Company of Schenectady, New York, and owned by the Birmingham Southern Railroad and later the American Cast Iron Pipe Company. When the locomotive was retired in 1983, it was the second-oldest operating diesel engine in the nation. It is one of many historic locomotives owned by the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum in Calera.
