Young Buck Dancer

A youngster competes in the buck dancing category at the Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention. Buck dancing is a traditional style of Appalachian folk dance that originated among enslaved African Americans. The term now refers to solo step dancing routines accompanied by fiddle music.
