Alabama Committee for Free Democratic Electors Flyer

This flyer, entitled "You Must Vote—If We're To Keep Alabama White," was produced by the Alabama Committee for Free Democratic Electors in 1960. It encouraged White voters to choose electors for the Democratic National Convention who would preserve White supremacy. This effort to suppress the Black vote in the state and the nation was one of the driving forces behind the United States v. Alabama case decided by the U.S. Supreme Court.
