The Alabama Department of Youth Services (DYS) and the Alabama Writers Forum have partnered together since 2002 to host "Writing Our Stories: An Ant-Violence Creating Writing Program." Each year juveniles housed at the DYS Mt. Meigs Campus contribute poetry that is then collected and published in an anthology of poems.
