Aurea, War Eagle VIII, flies above Auburn University's Jordan-Hare Stadium in 2019 prior to a football game. Although the mascot of the school is Aubie the Tiger, eagles have also represented the school in its "War Eagle!" battle cry for a century and in live eagles kept at the school's Southeastern Raptor Center. Eagles used in presentations are not able to be released to the wild because of injuries or behavioral issues.
