Violata Pax Dove

Violata Pax Dove, (bronze on an iron base) by Troy native Nall, was one of several components of a 2006 mixed-media, multi-location series entitled Violata Pax, or Stations of the Cross of Humanity. The sculpture was originally commissioned as part of a post-earthquake renovation project for the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi in Italy, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and it is now in the collections of Troy University. The dove is a symbol of peace and eternal life and also illustrates the shattering of peace on September 11, 2001.
