Union Soldiers' Memorial

This section of Oak Hill Cemetery honors Union soldiers and was established in 1891 by the Grand Army of the Republic fraternal organization. It was vandalized in 1937 and restored in 2019 with funds raised by the National Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. Eleven soldiers from eight states, as well as one widow of a soldier, are buried in the plot.
