Tombigbee River in Jackson

The Joe C. McCorquodale Jr. Bridge spans the Tombigbee River in Jackson, Clarke County. It is named for the long-time member of the Alabama House of Representatives from the region. The river, which forms the entire western border of the county, enters Alabama at Aliceville in Pickens County and empties into Mobile Bay.
