Through the Years is a musical drama written by civil rights leader Amelia Boynton Robinson in 1936 as a fundraising initiative for a community center for African Americans in Selma, Dallas County. The story's protagonist, Joshua Terrell, rises from slavery in the South to become a U.S. congressman.
