The Road to Tuskegee

During the Great Depression, Anne Goldthwaite was awarded two commissions from the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Section of Painting and Sculpture to create post office murals. She completed this one, The Road to Tuskegee, in 1939 in the post office in Tuskegee, Macon County.
