Surrender Oak

The "Surrender Oak" in Citronelle, Mobile County, was the site of what is believed to be the final surrender of Confederate troops east of the Mississippi at the end of the Civil War. The oak was the site of an annual re-enactment of that event until it was felled by a hurricane in 1902.
