Sulphur Creek Trestle

Sulphur Creek Trestle, near Elkmont, Limestone County, was built in 1859 by the Tennessee and Alabama Central Railroad. In September 1864, it was destroyed during a particularly bloody battle at a U.S. Army fort during the Civil War.
