Coach Steve Savarese, current executive director of the Alabama High School Athletic Administration (AHSAA), during a game between his McGIll-Toolen High School football team and Daphne High School in November 2005. Savarese was a career football coach before he assumed leadership of the AHSAA in 2007. Savarese was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in 2019.
