Montgomery native Solomon Seay Jr. was an attorney and civil rights activist who participated in several notable court cases aimed at desegregating public facilities and schools in the city. His father, Solomon Seay Sr., was a spiritual advisor to Martin Luther King Jr. and an activist in his own right. He's shown here in November 1966 at a conference in Montgomery on human rights issues.
