Sloss Furnaces

Sloss Furnaces, an iron production complex, was founded in Birmingham in 1881 and played a key role in the city's development. The complex was closed in 1970 and became the first blast furnace to be designated as a historic landmark. The site currently serves as a museum of industrial history, an art complex, and an entertainment venue.
