Samuel Mockbee

Samuel Mockbee (1944-2001) was an architect and educator who founded Auburn University's Rural Studio in Hale County in 1993 with fellow professor D.K. Ruth. Mockbee's idealism and determination provided housing and public facilities to several poor communities in Alabama and inspired similar programs worldwide.
