Samuel B. Moore Grave Marker

This memorial for Samuel B. Moore (1789-1846) was erected by the Masonic Lodge of Carrollton, Pickens County, in 1918. Moore served as Alabama governor from March to November 1831 after Gov. Gabriel Moore left the office for a seat in the U.S. Senate. Moore died in poverty and was buried in an unmarked grave.
