The Old Marengo County Courthouse in Linden was built in 1850. The Greek Revival structure served as the courthouse until 1902. It was then used as a church by the Missionary Society of the Linden Baptist Church and a meeting hall for the Veterans of Foreign Wars. It has been empty since the 1960s.
