Morgan's Raiders at the Ohio Penitentiary

The Ohio Penitentiary, in Columbus, Ohio, was used to house Confederate prisoners during the Civil War, including Gen. John Hunt Morgan and his men after their capture in July 1864. In November, he and several of his officers escaped from the prison by tunneling into the prison yard and scaling the walls.
