The Oakville Indian Mounds are prehistoric structures built by Native Americans near what is now Moulton, Lawrence County. They were likely built during the Woodland period, which spans a time period between 1,000 and 2,000 years ago, by people who belonged to the Copena Mortuary Complex culture. The site is part of the 83-acre Oakville Indian Mounds Park, which also includes the Oakville Indian Education Museum.
