Mural Tour in Dothan

Pedestrians view a section of a mural depicting commerce in the early years of Dothan, Houston County. The artwork shows elements of the turpentine industry that flourished in the Wiregrass region around the turn of the twentieth century. The mural is one of at least 19 in downtown Dothan that highlight various aspects of the area's history and culture, including the peanut industry, Fort Rucker, and local celebrity actor Johnny Mack Brown.
