Monte Sano Nature Preserve is one of 11 reserves managed by the Land Trust of North Alabama and is adjacent to Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville. The property is one of the largest urban nature preserves in the United States, with 1,100 acres. Its 22 miles of trails wind through forests and past interesting geological formations.
