Monroe Nathan Work

Sociologist Monroe Nathan Work (1866–1945) was a leading figure in efforts to advance African American economic and political power in the South and collaborated with W. E. B. Du Bois and Booker T. Washington. He also founded the Department of Records and Research at Tuskegee Institute (now Tuskegee University) in Macon County.
