Marengo County History and Archive Museum

The Rosenbush Furniture Company building in Demopolis, Marengo County, was built by German Jewish immigrant Julius Rosenbush in 1895. The family operated the furniture business for 107 years until its closure in 2002. The building, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, now houses the Marengo County History and Archive Museum and is the headquarters of the Marengo County Historical Society.
