Lowndes County Courthouse

The Lowndes County Courthouse is located in the county seat of Hayneville. It was built in 1856 in the Greek Revival style and remodeled in 1905. It is one of only four remaining courthouses in the state that were built prior to the Civil War and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.
