Lister Hill at Maxwell Field

Lister Hill, center, was an influential U.S. congressman known as the "Godfather of Maxwell Field" for his efforts to keep the post open after World War I and to move the Tactical School there in 1931. With Hill are, from left, Maj. John Curry, Gen. James E. Fechet, Maj. Pearcy Van Nostrand, and Maj. Hume Peabody.
