The Limestone County Courthouse is located in the county seat of Athens. It was built in 1918 in the Neoclassical style based upon a design by Birmingham architect Bem Price. He designed a number of public and private buildings in the state, including the Highlands United Methodist Church in Birmingham and Walker County High School and the William Bankhead residence in Jasper.
